COMPETECY BASED CURRICULUM
At Bishop Mahiaini Academy, we embrace the Competence Based Curriculum as a pathway to raising confident, skilled, and well-rounded learners. Rather than focusing on rote learning, C.B.C allows our pupils to discover and develop their individual talents, think critically, and apply what they learn in real, practical ways.Our teachers have undergone continuous training to deliver this curriculum effectively, guiding learners through hands-on activities, project-based tasks, and collaborative learning experiences. Classrooms are equipped with learning aids such as projectors and internet access to make lessons more engaging and interactive.Beyond academics, our pupils are encouraged to take part in co-curricular and community activities, including environmental clean-ups, which nurture responsibility, teamwork, and social awareness from an early age.

LAPTOPS AND PROJECTORS
At Bishop Mahiaini Academy, we have invested in laptops, projectors, and high-speed internet connectivity to enhance digital literacy as one of the core competencies under the C.B.C curriculum. These resources are used across our classes to support a more immersive learning experience, exercising our pupils to learn both visually and practically.
KITCHEN GARDEN
Our kitchen garden has been strategically established to support the teaching of kitchen garden strands under the Grade Three curriculum. Pupils are given the opportunity to not only grasp gardening concepts theoretically, but also to put this knowledge into practice through hands-on gardening. Expect your children to come home as budding young farmers!
CAPACITY BUILDING FOR TEACHERS
Ongoing training has equipped our teachers with the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to bring about a real paradigm shift, leading to remarkable progress in C.B.C implementation. The school has also conducted benchmarking visits with other C.B.C compliant institutions.
ESTABLISHMENT OF PLAYGROUNDS
The school boasts a standard football pitch, volleyball pitch, basketball court, netball court, and handball court.. In addition, the school has ample play equipment catering to learners of all levels, supporting Physical Health Education (P.H.E), one of the key learning areas under the C.B.C curriculum.
