SCHOOL LIFE
At Bishop Mahiaini Academy, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. We provide a vibrant, safe, and Christ-centered environment where every learner is encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and physically. Through a wide range of co-curricular activities—including sports, music, drama, debate, coding and robotics, clubs, and leadership opportunities—our learners discover their talents, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. As a school under the ACK Diocese of Mt. Kenya Central, we place great emphasis on Christian values, character formation, and spiritual growth through chapel services, Christian Religious Education (CRE), and mentorship. At Bishop Mahiaini Academy, “Setting the Pace” means nurturing well-rounded learners who are prepared to lead, serve, and succeed both in school and in life.
TRANSPORT
We work closely with teachers & parents to implement solutions which assure the timely and safe transport of students from their homes to school and return each day. We believe that a school bus is an extension of the classroom and it is important that we give adequate attention to the well-being of the children in our buses. It is with this purpose we provide qualified drivers and supervisors/ conductors on each bus, ensure safety, comfort to all our students.
KITCHEN
Bishop Mahiaini Academy has a kitchen situated at a strategic place in the school compound. We prepare A balanced diet that enhances the growth and development of the body and mind. The kitchen has a system that caters to both the pupils and the staff and is managed by a head cook who works hand in hand with five cooks. Our kitchen caters to students’ lunch, dinner as well as tea and snacks for the staff at 10 a.m.
BOARDING FACILITY
Our boarding facilities provide a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for pupils away from home. With well-supervised dormitories and a structured daily routine, boarders learn independence, discipline, and responsibility, while still enjoying the warmth of a close-knit school family.
PASTORAL CARE
We are committed to the spiritual and emotional well-being of every learner. Our pastoral care program offers guidance rooted in Christian values, helping pupils build strong moral character, resilience, and a sense of belonging within the school community.
